Richard Harvey

Organist and Accompanist

richard-harveyRichard Harvey has been accompanist to Finchley Choral Society since 1986. A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, he is an extremely experienced musician and teacher, well versed in baroque and classical organ music. Formerly accompanist to the Elysian Singers of Crouch End, he is currently organist at St John's United Reformed Church, New Barnet, and accompanist to the St Albans Choral Society. Richard is also an accomplished composer and the Society has performed his carols and setting of Siegfried Sassoon's poem, Everyone Sang, which won Stanmore Choral Society's competition for a choral work in their Golden Jubilee Year. Richard's setting of Christina Rossetti's poem, Echo, was commissioned by Finchley Choral Society and was premiered in November 2006.
