Grace Rossiter read music at Bristol University.  On graduating, she worked with choirs and operatic societies in the south west, returning to London in 2001 when she was appointed Musical Director of the Finchley Children’s Music Group.  She has conducted FCMG in performances at the BBC Proms, Royal Festival Hall, Barbican, and prepared the choir for conductors including Kurt Masur, Richard Hickox and Sir Colin Davis. Grace is also Musical Director of the Symphonic Wind Orchestra of North London, and Enfield Chamber Orchestra.  In 2004 she released a disc with FCMG, Bethlehem Down (Naxos) to critical acclaim.  She has recorded for BBC radio and television, Classic FM and Channel 4.

Richard Harvey

Accompanist

Richard Harvey has been accompanist to the Finchley Choral Society since 1986. A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, he is an extremely experienced musician and teacher, well versed in baroque and classical organ music. Formerly accompanist to the Elysian Singers of Crouch End, he is currently organist at St John's United Reformed Church, New Barnet, and accompanist to the St Albans Choral Society. Richard is also an accomplished composer and the Society has performed his carols and setting of Siegfried Sassoon's poem, Everyone Sang, which won Stanmore Choral Society's competition for a choral work in their Golden Jubilee Year. Richard's setting of Christina Rossetti's poem, Echo, was commissioned by Finchley Choral Society and was premiered in November 2006.
